What’s Really in Water? Most water in the UK runs hard, meaning it contains high level of minerals, particularly calcium, magnesium and chlorine, picked up as the water flows through porous rock such as limestone or chalk. These minerals can leave residue on your skin and hair, not unlike the silt that appears on shower walls or in your kettle.
Beauty-wise? Over time, this residue can disrupt your skin barrier and exacerbate skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. It can also contribute to hair breakage and prematurely fade colour treatments. Plus, it makes your shampoos and cleansers work extra hard to lather and foam, meaning your use more product – and water - than you need.
ULA Showerhead Filter System
The ULA system is unique in that it removes the majority of hard water minerals, including chlorine and sulphates, and is the only showerhead that uses an RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) and NF (Nanofiltration) filter, unrivalled at purifying water and removing contaminants.

“As a father and husband, I watched my wife and teenage daughter spend a small fortune on an overwhelming array of skincare products, while at the same time showering in unfiltered water, high in chlorine and other skin-harming minerals. It made no sense to me, so I decided to do something about it.
Leaning on my 25 years’ experience in the bathroom industry, I created ULA, a shower head filter system that removes hard water impurities. Better yet, I designed it to hold beauty capsules, which target everything from improving hair strength to addressing skin issues.
My family still spend a small fortune on skincare but now their routine starts with pure, filtered water for the best results. It’s
