Installing the showerhead

  1. Step 01

    Remove your existing shower head

    First, gently remove your existing shower head from the shower hose. It’ll be attached with a standard thread, so you’ll need to turn it anticlockwise.

  2. Step 02

    Shower hose

    The shower hose has a threaded end, which should have a washer inside. If there isn’t a washer, you’ll find a replacement below the filters in your ULA box.

  3. Step 03

    Washer

    You can install the replacement washer by simply pushing it into place, so when you screw your ULA shower head on, the washer will compress and create a water tight seal.

  4. Step 04

    ULA Showerhead

    Next, it’s time to screw your ULA shower head onto the hose. To do this, thread it on and turn it in a clockwise direction. Don’t over tighten, hand-tighten only. If parts are wet, a towel will help.

How does it work?

The ULA system uses an RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) that purifies water and includes biofiltration, and a NF (Nanofiltration) filter, highly effective in removing calcium, magnesium and other harmful elements found in hard water.

By running your water through the ULA showerhead, you remove the majority of these hard water minerals, including chlorine and sulphates, before it touches your skin or
hair.

Will this fit on any shower?

Absolutely! The ULA showerhead uses a universal British Standard thread so it’ll easily attach to any handheld shower hose.

Will it affect my shower pressure?

Fear not, ULA has been designed to maximise your shower pressure rather than reduce it. That being said, switching to the misted capsule spray delivers a softer stream of water, as your beauty capsule of choice does its thing.

DoI need a plumber to install my ULA Showerhead?

Nope – no need to call in the professionals. You can install the ULA Showerhead yourself in just a few steps.

How do I install my ULA Showerhead?

Let’s do this!

  1. Gently remove your old showerhead from the shower hose (anticlockwise).
  2. The showerhose has a threaded end, which should have a washer inside (pictured). If thereisn’t a washer or it’s damaged, we’ve included a spare in your ULA box.
  3. If you’re replacing the washer, simply push it into place, so when you screw your ULA shower head on, the washer creates a watertight seal.
  4. Now it’s time to screw your ULA shower head onto the hose. To do this, thread it on and turn clockwise. Hand-tighten only.
